Now we have the 12 wonders of Terengganu ! I stumbled into this bit of information while flipping through the hotel services booklet at the hotel I was staying in Kuala Terengganu, the capital of the state of Terengganu; one of the larger state in the northeast corner of Peninsular Malaysia. Then I also realised that the year 2008 is Visit Terengganu Year. The sad thing is I did not realise that 2008 is a special year for Terengganu ! Did I missed reading the papers ? the billboards ? TV ads ? or perhaps not much promotion by the State ? However, the hotel service booklet did state clearly the charm of Terengganu and it began with the 12 Wonders of Terengganu and it listed only 8 sites/locations. What happened to the other 4 Wonders ?I wondered.
At the hotel lobby, there were tour related brochures from all states and special brochures of interesting places put up mainly by the Tourism Ministry...but yet no information of the missing 4 Wonders of Terengganu.
