Today is Saturday 29th November, a big day for Ainal for on this day he needs to be at the bride's house for the wedding reception. He "passed" the test the night before when he took the "akad" where probably his father in-law or the local imam solemnised the marriage. Apparently it took him 3 0r maybe 4 times before he actually managed to say the right words to the satisfaction of everyone present. It must be a great relief for him. So today he must be a happy man being escorted by his close relatives comprising of uncles and aunties and nieces and nephews to the bride's residence, with the noisy kompang in tow. Tomorrow, Sunday 20th November would be his turn to receive his bride at his mom's place where his wedding reception will take place. As of today, most of his close friends, uncles,aunties etc are already in town for tomorrow's event...a repeat of today's.
