As in major cities throughout the world, there will the usual traffic jams at peak hours, so is Tehran, a city of 20 million ( depending on who you get the info from ) it is just like any city. My colleague and I were on a 2 day visit recently ( last week of June,2007 ) and found out its the same as Bangkok or Jakarta, at times some streets became like a big car park ! Business are as usual, with entrepreneurs young and old jamming the hotel lobbies for their business discussions as we found out. They are proud people and just like other business people they like to entertain their business partners...and of course we were also entertained to sumptuous authentic Iranian dishes by our fellow brothers there. By the way, we were in Tehran on an education trip and you know what ? they have great universities and excellent renown scholars and scientists.
