On Time or Before Time

Heard stories from friends in Sabah during my recent visit that AirAsia sometimes took off before the schedule time. And it was true ! I was at Tawau airport Sept 9th and I observed that flight AK5633 bound for JB was airborne at precisely 1601 hrs instead of 1605 hrs as stated on the airport info screen. At times, according to stories some flights even took off ten or fifteen minutes earlier than the schedule time. I think it is okay, and there is no reason to complain since passengers are reminded to be at the airport at least 2 hours before flight time. Perhaps it is a good way to instill some discipline amongst us with regards to timeliness ! and this way too AirAsia can cut down on delays.
